You must register as an umpire with the USA Softball registrar. 

BHGS umpire registration​

BHGS Softball Umpire

​You will train with a USA softball certified umpire to understand the rules and receive hands-on practice with game situations.

​​All umpires must have a background check (18 years or older) and go through an umpire training class (ages 12 and older.) No experience necessary. We'll train you!

Three Umpire levels

Rookie Umpires (only 8U/10U games)

• First year umpire with the USA Umpire training
• Base Umpire $15 / Plate Umpire $20

Junior Umpires

• Umpire with 1 to 2 years of softball umpire experience USA Umpire training
• Base Umpire $20 / Plate Umpire $25

Senior

• Umpire with 2+ years of softball umpire experience USA Umpire training
• Base Umpire $25 / Plate Umpire $40
