Snack Shack & Shifts for the 2018 Season
Dear BHGS Family & Volunteers,
To ensure the Snack Shack continues to run smoothly, each team manager will arrange with their team parents; a snack shack shift assignment.
These shifts are mandatory for every home team in order for games to start on time. GAMES WILL NOT START UNTIL A SHACK VOLUNTEER HAS CHECKED IN.
We ask that all shift volunteers arrive to the shack 15 mins before your game time and stay 15 mins after your game time. We also ask that if you need to change your Snack Shack Shift please do so by talking to the parents on your team first, your manager second and if you still need help please contact us.
If you are unable to work your scheduled shift over the course of the season, you have the option to pay the $40 buy-out instead. Please follow the link below to the Buy-Out form but we would rather see you in the Shack!! Please also give us at least a week notice but we do prefer 2 weeks to ensure coverage for your shift. Once the form is sent in and approved, you will receive a confirmation email. Without the confirmation email your shift is not covered and you must show up for your shift for your child's game to start.
Please do remember that all Snack Shack help as well as all board and league positions are volunteer based and we would love any help you can offer! We work hard but we have fun! We build relationships, dance, laugh and joke around while keeping players and spectators fed and hydrated throughout the season with a smile!

"The prices are unbelievable for some of the best food in the area. This is a place I would go for a pulled pork sandwich even if my daughter didn't play softball here on Saturdays.” - Heidi O.
"Open until 7pm most weeknights (just not Friday), the BHGS Snack Shack has saved me many times. They have homemade grilled tri-tip, pulled pork and chili that is inexpensive and WAY better than we could make at home ourselves! (These guys are serious BBQ pros, and spend a LOT of their free time perfecting the process.)
It's located at Alta Vista Elementary school fields on the border of Los Gatos and San Jose (Branham area) so it is quick, convenient and amazing BBQ. They have lots of other good snacks and treats available too. You can get it to go, or sit in the shade at one of the picnic tables to eat while watching some fast-pitch softball. It is a great way to de-stress and get some good food after work." - Dan L.
"Pulled pork, tri tip, burgers, hot dogs, taco bowls, and a bunch of healthy alternatives just to name a few. When's the last time you saw a softball snack shack with restaurant level food and neighbors who don't even have kids playing softball come to just eat the food? Not to be missed. Stacey & Erica plus all the volunteers who make this a reality are awesome. Great price/value. Must visit!" - Lisa C.
"The tri-tip on Saturday afternoons is the BEST! This is our "home away from home" and it's great to feed the kids something other than just nachos and candy. Hamburgers, hot-dogs, chili, pulled pork sandwiches, quesadillas, fresh garden salads and more! Grab some food and stay to watch some softball games! See you on the fields!" - Jason H.
"Friendly faces, go to place for after ball game snack or meal. They even have vegetarian burgers !! The pulled pork is my daughter's favorite." - Kamal A.
