All the 10U, 12U & 14U should plan to attend an "Evaluation Day" Saturday 1/19/08 to go thru about 5 skills/drills.... Team Draft for 6,8,10 &12U Divisions

This day (1/30/07) we will begin to form the teams in the 6,8,10 & 12U Divisions. (The 14U will be formed a week or 2 later to give the high school girls a chance to join after school tryouts) We should be done by the end of the week & will notify families of their team by email (if we have the correct one)by the beginning of the next week. Work on the Fields Day One

Saturday (Feb 2nd) from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Work on the Fields Day One is a very important activity for the season! We cannot start practice for the girls until the fields are in shape. All members of BHGS (men & women) are encouraged to come out & do some work on the fields! Bring shovels, rakes & a wheelbarrel (if you have them) & come to the fields @ Alta Vista! We need to remove the overgrown grass & weeds from the infields, smooth out the bumps & get them in playing shape. With a good turnout, the job is an easy one! Thanks for your support!

This is the night that the players in the 6U & 8U age divisions will meet their team mates & parents can meet the other parents on the team. The board will make a few announcements & you will have the opportunity to decide the team name & who can help the team out during the season.
10s, 12s & 14s Can Start to Practice **

** AS LONG AS THE FIELDS ARE IN SHAPE (SEE "WORK ON THE FIELDS DAY I" ABOVE), the 10s, 12s & 14s can start to practice as soon as the girls insurance is in placed & they have received their practice schedules. Since we have a limited amount of fields, a practice schedule will be posted to give all teams the chance to use a field.
14U Team Selection

Sometime during this week......
Sometime during this week, we will form the 14U teams. We wait for the High School softball tryouts to complete, too see if any of the girls that were cut want to play @ BHGS. As soon as the teams are formed, the 14U families will contacted immediately. Email is the prefered method for those that have one listed with us. If you do not have an email address listed with us, we will call you by phone. The 14U girls will start practice as soon as the teams are formed.

Practice will begin this week for all players (although the 10s, 12s & 14s may decide to start a bit earlier) The 6u will parctice on Mon nites & the 8U will be on Wed nites. The 10s will be on Tues nites & the 12s on Thursday nites. 14s will be on Monday & another day TBA later. All teams will practice on Saturdays.. You will receive a schedule from your manager.

This is a one-day pitching clinic run by "Cutting Edge".. You needed to sign up for this clinic in advance... This is a tentative date... The date will be confirmed later.

Each team will have their picture taken, both as a team & individually... Mark this date on your calender to make sure you will be in town. Your team Manager will give you your specified time slot as soon as the schedule has been posted.

Hit-A-Thon Starts @ 9:00am
All players will be in uniform & will participate in the Hit-A-Thon in the morning. After that, we will have our Annual Opening Day Ceremony with the "Parade of the Players"... Next will be the Family Fun Day & BBQ.. Come for the Hit-A-Thon & plan to spend the day having fun! There will be fun events for the kids all day...

Our Annual 8U Zebra Classic Tournament... Always a fun event for the 8U Travel Teams! This year we will have 10 (or more) 8U teams competing for the top prize! Branham Hills Thunder, Campbell Crush, Quicksilver-Black, Hollister Heat, Gilroy Chaos, Almaden Lightning, MVLA Nova, Livermore Smoke & more!
