General Information

• Everyone is placed on a team, No experience needed. Everyone plays.
• Buddy plan for 6U and 8U. For other divisons, buddy plan for new players only.
• 6U and 8U focus on introduction and basic skills.
• 10U, 12U, 14U are competitive and fun and may travel to play other teams.
• Games and practices are at Alta Vista School.
• Division practice and game days will be determined after teams are formed.

Registration Checklist

The following items are required to complete registration:
• Photo copy of Official Birth Certificate (new players only).
• Name, address and telephone number of child’s doctor.
• Medical insurance policy name and medical record number.
• An emergency phone number in addition to home and work.
• Uniform sizes: shirts and a pair of socks are included in the fees
(batting helmets, bat bags and sweatshirts can be ordered for an additional cost).
• Cash or check payable to “BHGS”.

All regular Registrations will be held at Round Table Pizza at Cambrian Park Plaza (close to the corner of Union & Camden)

November Registration

• Wednesday 11/19/08 6pm to 8pm
• Saturday 11/22/08 11am to 1pm

December Registration

• Thursday 12/11/08 6pm to 8pm

January Registration

• Saturday 1/10/09 11am to 1pm
• Thursday 1/15/09 6pm to 8pm
• Saturday 1/17/09 11am to 1pm

Divisions

Your daughter’s birth year determines in which division she should play:
6U: 2002-2003
8U: 2000-2001
10U: 1998-1999
12U: 1996-1997
14U: 1994-1995

Registration Fees

Registration fees includes ASA insurance, Union School District fee, participation trophy, uniform (shirt, hat, socks), and team photo.
Family Discount $20 per additional girl.
Scholarships are available. Refunds through January 2008.
6U – (age 6 and under) - $99
8U – (age 8 and under) - $139
10U – (age 10 and under) - $159
12U – (age 12 and under) - $159
14U – (age 14 and under) - $159
Fundraising fee: $50 coupon book sales or $50 buyout.

Late Registration

( $20.00 Late Fee will be charged )

Evaluations - Divisions 10U, 12U, 14U

The coaching staffs in each division will be holding an evaluation to better balance the quality of players on each team in the upper divisions of recreational softball. Coaches will run the players through a series of softball drills to assess their experience level. All players registered in the upper divisions will participate in a group evaluation.

Evaluation date

Saturday 1/31/09 ( for 10U, 12U & 14U ) at the Alta Vista Softball Fields
10U: 9:30-11am, 12U: 10:30 - noon, 14U: noon - 1:30pm
